We at ALB Architecture, PA take much pride and dedication in our work to deliver a product that exceeds standards of remarkable architecture.

ALB Architecture, PA was founded in 2003 when AB Architecture, dealing primarily in historic preservation, and Lauer Design, specializing in construction renovation decided to join forces to form a unique partnership whose motto is a direct correlation of the principals’ background…”preserve, restore, renovate and enjoy”

Allen Brooks, AIA earned his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and Professional Degree from UNC Charlotte School of Design.  He has virtually always focused on projects of a historical nature. His professional experience has earned him credentials and a reputation as a leader in regional historic preservation, with licenses in NC and SC.  Allen has been active in historic preservation community affairs that have broadened his experiences and civic responsibility. As a former Charlotte Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commissioner and a prior Charlotte Historic District Commissioner, he has a thorough working knowledge of the matters dealing with the complexities of regulated properties such as State Historic Preservation Tax credit process and complicated zoning issues.

Angie Lauer, Associate AIA has been working in the new residential design, renovation and construction field since 1986.  After graduation from the UNC Charlotte School of Design with a degree in Architecture, she worked in the field, primarily focused on residential renovations.  Beyond residential and commercial design, Angie has substantial experience in the construction field as well, having spent five years with a high-end renovation contractor as a project cost estimator and construction manager.

With every home created, the extensive fundamental historic principals are evident.  Whether new or existing, their combined work is imprinted on almost every street in Charlotte’s Dilworth Historic District and throughout North and South Carolina.   Beyond numerous awards, the inducement of their services is the houses created for the families that enjoy them.
